Could have been so much better. It has some nice music and a good idea behind it.

The premise is simple. Explore the rooms on each floor, kill all the enemies, locatethe key cards to unlock doors and also the lift card so you can travel up to the next level. These cards are all contained in crates that you must open with your weapon.

Sounds good on paper. But unfortunately the execution is sloppy. Firstly there is an extremely punishing time limit that should be twice as long. Secondly, some crates contain booby traps which sap your energy. Since you don't know what a crate contains till you open it (and you to check all the crates) you can lose all your energy just from checking crates for the key cards.

And lastly, your weapon is a tiny beam that projects a few pixels from your body. You must get up close to every enemy to kill it, in that tiny instant you get the beam onto the enemy, you usually lose some health too.

It's just so pointlessly punishingly difficult.

3/10.

Very interesting to see your own copyrighted work crop up on the internet, but what the heck... I'm the author of this not-particularly-good game which I wrote out of a combination of boredom and absolute, unconditional love for the good old C64. Although the game isn't spectacular, I'm proud to say I wrote every line of code myself as well as all the artwork. So there!
I hope you enjoy it - even with the bugs and other niggles. Long live the 64!
